Major Responsibilities
The successful candidate will contribute to teaching Genetics, Cell Biology, General Biology, our Research Methods course sequence and other upper-level Biology courses for majors in the candidates area(s) of expertise.
This person will also contribute to team-teaching a new non-majors biology course both online and onground.
Biology faculty are expected to develop an active research program that engages undergraduate students.

The Department of Biology has an innovative approach to undergraduate education that emphasizes reading, performing, and writing research throughout the curriculum. We seek a colleague who is committed to teaching a diverse student body at an undergraduate institution, and who will contribute to an energetic, collegial, and cohesive department. Postdoctoral research and college teaching experience is preferred.
Minimum Skills/Abilities
Candidates must be skilled in modern molecular techniques and a research focus on plants (including bryophytes), algae, or fungi is strongly preferred.
