For the Head of Design role, we are looking for someone who is seasoned in managing a high-impact team of designers and has delivered some great products with an unyielding bar for quality. Ability to operate strategically and collaboratively with design stakeholders at Samsung Partner closely with the Head of Product on overall product strategy and direction Managerial Mentor and coach an exceptionally talented team of designers with diverse cultures, experiences, and skills in order to bring out the best in them Methodically develop team member skills and careers, take away whats in their way Connect the dots between projects and skills utilize strengths in the team, while providing opportunities to grow + establish focus in a way that sets up the individuals and the projects up for success Champion diversity and inclusion Operational Establish solid design operations evolve and operationalize the right design processes High quality bar, optimizing effectiveness Overseeing and scheduling different tracks of work Every day operations handling communication, set the context for design meetings, etc Establish a methodological design toolkit, and make sure it is shared, understood, and used throughout the team Fighting for design in the face of policies, procedures, and bureaucracy that limits the teams potential.
