Primary Storage Engineering Manager This individual will lead the Primary Storage Engineering team. The team is responsible for engineering the Storage Area Network (SAN), Block over IP, and Network Attached Storage (NAS) technologies for the enterprise. The team collaborates across the organization to plan and build storage automation. The manager of this team will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, providing day to day direction for the team, and identifying opportunities to lower risk, increase efficiencies, and drive down costs while delivering for all of our business partners requirements. This position will coordinate workflow, projects, and process efficiency for the team and will be the primary point of contact for all primay storage engineering efforts. This position will provide consultative support to infrastructure and CIO partners in the area of primary storage infrastructure/services. This position will be responsible for interacting with all of our vendors in this space to ensure enhancement requests are being fulfilled, features are available ahead of demand, security vulnerabilities are being remediated, and the vendors are meeting all of Wells Fargo's expectations with their release cycles.

This position requires having an understanding of storage, private, and public cloud technologies from major vendors (Netapp, Oracle, Dell/EMC, IBM, Hitachi, Pure, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Red Hat). he ability to manage a geographically disperse workforce to ensure a high degree of availability by engineering solutions for critical environments. The individual must be able to manage in a large scale complex environment. This position must demonstrate experience in identifying, and ultimately influencing engineering teams by driving efficiency in complex environments. The team ensures our standard services meet our partners needs in a timely fashion; deliver time-to-market solutions to ensure competitive advantage and increased revenue. Drive policy, process, and technology change enabling efficiency without compromising on risk or security.



Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of technology experience
  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience, in an IT environment
  • 3+ years of SAN (Storage Area Network) experience
  • 3+ years of NAS experience
  • 1+ year of experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) concepts
  • 2+ years of experience compiling and preparing executive summaries, whitepaper, and presentations for management or senior leaders
  • 3 + years of leadership experience including coaching, training, and mentoring

  • Experience defining and/or developing business initiatives that require integration of multiple technology systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology: backup and recovery solutions
  • Knowledge and understanding of cloud computing
  • Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
  • A Masters of Business Administration (MBA)



Job Expectations

  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
