Wintrust Commercial Bankingis seeking a dynamic andentrepreneurial banker to join our Nonprofit and Healthcare Team located in our downtown Chicago Loop office. The right individual will have direct experience in a credit training programworking within the commercial banking division.This position requires proficiency in marketing/selling, superior creditskills and a strong focus on providing a high-level of customer service to Bankclientele.

This commercial banker will be responsible for managing anexisting portfolio and working with product partners across the Bank tostrengthen existing relationships and effectively fulfill the business needs ofour nonprofit customer base.They willalso be responsible for new business development by generating leads throughcold calling efforts and connecting with other professionals in the industry toestablish a quality referral network.Additional responsibilities include:

  • Manage and develop an existing Nonprofit and Healthcare portfolio by actively seeking new business opportunities and exceeding client expectations;
  • Increase the Banks profitability by cultivating new commercial relationships and leading the transition process over to Wintrust;
  • Collaborate with the Nonprofit Team, including our dedicated Credit Underwriter, to process renewals & manage existing client portfolios, evaluate new business opportunities, structure new financing requests, assist with the underwriting process and work directly with external Legal partners & Loan Operations to help document and close specific transactions;
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of current commercial products offered in the market staying informed on all relevant industry trends and practices;
  • Actively networking with Financial Advisors, Accountants, Attorneys and other professionals in the Nonprofit and Healthcare sectors by proactively connecting with these individuals and attending industry/client events to continue to build your database.

  • Qualifications


  • The ideal candidate has experience in credit, managing a portfolio of nonprofit banking clients, collaboratively with bank product partners and is willing to actively cultivate new connections & opportunities in the Chicagoland market.
  • Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in Finance, Economics or other related quantitative fields.
  • Formal commercial credit training preferred.
